Quilted with Love

COMMUNITY LITERACY FOUNDATION TO HOST 3rd annual ONLINE BABY QUILT AUCTION

Beginning Monday, February 2, the Community Literacy Foundation will host its 3rd annual online baby quilt auction, “Quilted with Love.” All proceeds from the month-long auction will benefit the Foundation’s Rooted in Reading project. Rooted in Reading is a community initiative that provides books to local pediatrician offices to be distributed at the baby’s one-month wellness visit. This initiative aims to educate new parents about the benefits of reading to their children from infancy. By gifting a book to each newborn and their families, the Community Literacy Foundation upholds its mission of instilling and increasing a love of reading for community members of all ages.

Last year, “Quilted with Love” distributed handmade quilts to 24 of our top daily bidders and were able to distribute over 1,000 new books to young readers at our partnered clinics.

This year, the online quilt auction will run from February 2 - 27. Bidding takes place on the Community Literacy Foundation’s Facebook page.
